I am in the process to hear from Peace Corps about my assignment. I was searching I the internet for blogs of PCVs in Africa (where I am hoping to go). I ran into your blog, and am fascinated with all your experiences. I have no idea how you managed to get so much time to post so much info during training in your blog, but good job.
I couldn’t help to noticed all those pictures with all your lady friends. I am curious to know what the dating seen in like in Peace Corps Tanzania. My boyfriend is a little concerned about having me so far away with little communication and around all those male PCTs/PCVs. He says that the loneliness eventually gets to people, and hooking up is likely in such a small group of people who are practically your support group and best friends while in country. In your experience so far, have you noticed people in your training group hooking up and/or being temped to despite their relationship status back home?
I’m sorry if this is too personal for you. I am curious and it is a legitimate question by someone who will be going through all those experiences soon. I would really appreciate it if could help me with this inquiry.
